Psuedo Spirituality

Category: Spirituality, Thoughts

As I have previously written, the journey to True Spirituality must begin by first connecting to that which is True and Pure Spirit. After this connection is established, then one must be “in-filled” with the Spirit that comes from the One, True, Pure Spirit - God. It is this infilling that germinates in or enlivens our spirit and begins communicating at the deepest levels with the One, True, Pure Spirit. It is this communication that allows our spirit to mature and grow within us as we are taught by this Pure or Holy Spirit about living a spiritual life.

However, before I go further on this road to True Spirituality, I need to address some of your comments about what happens to one who follows another form of spirit, or a spirit that is a created being. Can they be truly spiritual?

All created spiritual beings have a choice, therefore they have a soul and thus a will. The One True, Pure Spirit - God, has never created any “Zombie-esk” spiritual beings that have no choice but to love and follow Him. However, there are spirits who, after their creation, deteriorated by not following the One who is True, and Pure and I might add, was never created, and has eternally been self-sustaining. Deteriorating spirits are often called “fallen” and they have lost their spiritual light. Some say these fallen spirit beings were once angels, others believe they were once other heavenly creatures. To define them here is not my intent.

To follow or be taught by a created, and deteriorating spirit is at best “pseudo spiritual and disingenuous. Most dictionaries define the word “follow” as being tantamount to admiration, thus to admire or walk with a created spiritual being, especially a deteriorating one will make it impossible to live a vibrant true spiritual life. The spiritual level of one who follows the Uncreated, Self-sustaining Holy Spirit – which is the very Spirit of the One, True, Pure, God is far superior to pseudo spirituality. We know it is impossible for the creator to create something greater than Himself, because to be created defies the definition of being uncreated.

Therefore, the uncreated Creator is greater than His creation, and thus spiritual life with the Holy Spirit must be significantly higher and superior to a pseudo spiritual life from following a created, and deteriorating spiritual being. And in so stating it becomes clear that to serve, worship, admire, follow, any dark created spirit cannot make one Truly Spiritual nor enlightened.

I hope this makes you think outside the box a little because the ramifications are enormous. I’ll write more on this in my next posting.

Blessings,
John Paul

Hhahahaha. I love it. Deep and very amusing. “Zombie esque” spiritual beings is a great phraseology. It reminds me of many churches, where they follow their leaders, instead of following Christ and finding encouragement and exhortation in leaders.

Sometimes I wonder if ‘fallen’ creatures, beings, angels, entities or what have you are known as ‘fallen’ beacuse their energy changes. It seems that IN CHRIST things are accelerated and in darkness and any sub-spiritual level things are decelerated. Spirit realm darkness moves slower for some reason (i have noticed when I go into places), and heavenly beings and entities of light are in this vibration, back and forth, hovering action many times. It would seem that all of heaven is a-buzz!!

What are your thoughts on this? Is it possible that the frequencies of the creaures and beings when they fall is lower, and that because of this, they release light waves that are dangerous. sort of like radioactive waves versus proper molecular structures.

Which would also indicate why heaven is full of brightness, and the color spectrum (additive..yes?) and that darkness and the void has little color. COlors all have frequencies and energy vibrations, I beleive, so then that would explain the color in heaven, because there is so much high level frequencies and the colors are more pure than ever, because the energy flowing out of the source of all life is perfect and untainted. God is the source of all!

Which is why light immediately can dispel darkness so quickly, if this train of thought pattern is true, then the power of the energy of light speeds up the molecular ‘atmosphere’ where there is darkness and therefore eradicates it from the presense!

what are others peoples thoughts on this? whatdya think J.P ?

    Dear John Paul,
Being spritual should be like being home, natural, almost effortless for a born again child of God. Like breathing.
As we come closer to the Lord and the Holy Spirit and commune with them, we come to naturally be more like Him, more spiritual, naturally. We have the only true spiritual seed living in us, this seed is programed and is actively working with its own power to make us like Jesus.
We make it hard, with some help from outside influences.
It should be simple and easy, as the Lord said,
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me for I am gentle and humble in heart, and You will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light”
I think we miss it by thinking it is something hard to be spiritual.
    God Bless,
    Randy

My mind is being stretched! So how does the uncreated Spirit respond to this deception? It must grieve Him. Also, this impresses upon me the urgency of being a pure representative of the True Spirit. I sometimes fall into the striving category, so how do I respond to all this information? I need to learn to just be connected and He will do it. Pray for me.

Okay…so if I am a ovum and I have been “fertilized” with the One Uncreated Spirit. Can another spirit penetrate? Or am I sealed? And if I am sealed can I still be following more than one spirit?

Sorry. One more thing. Whose responsibility is the “in-filling”?

1 Tim 4.1-2, We are warned that there are spirits that try to seduce and mislead.

Is it our spirit or soul or flesh, or all three that have the ability to be seduced by these darkened spirits?

I understand that the litmus test given to us by John will clarify what is truth. 1 Jn 4.1-3. I also understand that knowledge is often confused with truth, but they are not the same thing.

The true light (truth) will reveal the things that are hidden. The darkness obscures. Some believe darkness to be light. Mat 6.22-23 If we are deceived enough to believe that darkness is light, it will be very hard for us to recognize the truth.

Apple seeds make more apples. Grape seeds make more grapes. A grape seed cannot make an apple. Light therefore must create Light, and darkness must create darkness.

    God bless
    David

How do you know when you connect with God spiritually…or something else for that matter? I can see, hear, feel, touch, taste, and smell with my body but how do you ’see,’ ‘hear,’ ‘feel,’ ‘touch,’ ‘taste,’ or ’smell’ with your spirit? How do you know if you are in spiritual communication with God? What IS being spiritual?

this is very good. I read this and feel like you would understand the convicting in my heart these days… that truth( knowledge) can produce death not life in the hearer. I feel like the Lord is warning me that “speaking truth in love” is a catch phrase that many use to point out there knowledge in a certain area… ( I know I have done this) only to hear God clearly state.. What life did it bring. To tell someone a truthful statement, to correct, or to confront in love like we like to say, has caused so many people to harden their heart because even if it is quoting the word of God… did it bring The Life of God to the hearer. Many times no. I think we need to ingest the Life/ spirit of the living God in to use and be more concerned with our walk with Him than to correct others of their walk. To me, this is the foundation of true spirituality. Plugging into the life source of God and allowing Him to define knowledge. I know less today than I did 20 years ago. The more I seek Him, the more I see my own foolishness. However, that has produced in me wisdom.

Lately I’ve been struggling w/christian circles that seem to be putting too much emphasis on manifestations such as gold dust and prophetic words that puff up and visions in which the interpretations seem to target the soul (emotions)
I just don’t know what to make of it, I don’t want to throw the baby out w/the bath water but the last prophetic conference I went to really left a bad taste in my mouth, there was definitely fleshly manifestations. In my own experiences w/the Lord I’ve had many dreams & visions that have come to pass so I know it is real & valid but the cry of my heart is that the Holy Spirit would bring me to a place of maturity so that my spirit would rule my soul & my emotions will come under subjection of the Holy Spirit so that I can have true discernment & balance.
I am open to correction if you feel I am being critical, I truly respect your input.

I have been involved in a church that is seeking signs, wonders and miracles that involves worship; but does not emphasize God’s word. In fact they state one should feed him/her-self and not expect spiritual food at church. Very little scripture is being used and bible study is non-existent. Could this be Pseudo-Spirituality where seeking the spiritual manifestation outweighs learning and applying God’s word? 4-HIM Mike

I’m with you, Sigrid…..but this is the way I see it. The church is still in a state of mixture and still learning so I always use the advise given to me: Chew the meat and spit out the bones!!!

    Great Post!

Chocolate pudding is good until you’ve had chocolate mousse.

Rice is fine until you’ve tasted risotto

Hamburger is OK until you’ve had fillet mignon

Darkness is illuminating until you’ve seen the light

And psuedo spirituality is satisfying until you’ve encountered the one, true Holy Spirit.
