What are God’s Absolutes?
Okay, this posting stirred the pot! Please keep in mind that all manner of people read this blog, not just Christians. So when I write, I write to reach both communities - believers and nonbelievers. We even have several witches who read it. So do not let a religious nature over react to something I have not written. For example, please tell me one place I mentioned the laws of God in my last post - I do not think you will find the reference. However, I will inject here that even the non Christian would be hard pressed to prove that the ten commandments are not absolutes.
So here are a few non-law absolutes as examples.
ABSOLUTES OF GOD
* God is not mocked. Whatever you do in True, Pure Spirit will come back to reward you in some fashion. Whatever you carnally, selfishly do will also come back to you in some fashion.
* Whatever you focus on you make room for in your life.
* Whatever you fear you empower over your life.
* Faith and fear, at their root, are the same thing - they both believe something that hasn’t happened is going to happen.
* As a man thinks in his heart so is he.
YOU AND ABSOLUTES
So what are some absolutes you have found? Please keep your answers to less than 40 words per absolute or we will not post them. There are some long winded writers out there in blog land.
Blessings,
John Paul

There are many absolutes. Some I know, some I know of, and others I’m still finding out…
Perspective - our veiws (the way we see things) mold our ways of thinking…
What we worship, we follow…
We become a product of our habits…
We know, what we seek…
Proportion - With the measure that we measure, is measured back to us…
We do, what we understand…
Many more…
God Bless!
Some absolutes of God that keep ringing in my spirit from the new testament are:
God loves us with an everlasting love!
For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son that He whosoever believeth upon Him will not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His son Jesus into the world to condemn it but to save it.
The wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight!
The Lord is the spirit and where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.
There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Peace & Blessings Always!

I laughed & raised my hand on long-windedness!
* give & it shall be given to you
* with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you
* whatever you do or say to another, you are doing or saying to the Lord, therefore everything you say is a prayer
* whatever is done in secret will come to light - a reward from God (when it is good)
* God’s mercy is new every morning
* Every choice forms your character
Blessings!
I had been defining ‘law’ as any function that consistently operates naturally or spiritually. I think you are saying all God’s laws (natural & spiritual) are absolutes? However, not all absolutes are laws? If so, we can trespass some absolutes without sinning?
The better I understand who God has made me to be, the less I judge others for how God made them to be.
I don’t know if this is an absolute, but it is something that I’ve noticed.
I confess! I’m a long blogger…I’ll work to keeping it as short as possible…
This is a good blog.
I couldn’t have said it better then Anotonio.
Absolutes I’ve found…now that I’ve thought a bit…
1. What goes up comes down
2. Darkness is the absence of light
3. With all that we are discovering none of which places any
weight behind the claim to suggest God does not exist.
4. Perhaps the creator knows best His creation.
I wasn’t going to respond to this blog, but then i thought..ahh what the heck, why not.
The ones you posted John Paul, sound very similar to the basis of ‘The Secret” Dvd and that which they teach there. I have some teachings tapes of judson cornwall from the 70s I think where he teaches on the fear and faith being the same thing principle.. thats some good stuff.
The Absolutes of God that I have found or beleive::
*When Man attempts to work out everything in regards to spirit he ends up empty handed, only Spirit works Spirit out.
*He who tries to gain his life, loses it.
* God never leaves us, even to the point of us descended into the depths of hells darkness.
* God loves to express himself, and loves it when his children follow in his steps in this regard.
* Color is an aspect of Gods character, and is a product that is expressed through out creation.
* Mankind can reach perfection as given an example through Christ, and as declared necessary through God.
*Gods perfection is not like mans religious structures.
* God loves messes
* God is never late, rarely early, and pretty much always on time.
*If God calls us to a task, he provides..my motto ‘Gods will is Gods bill’
* Like the Bumper Sticker, “God loves the whole wide world, no exceptions”
* God is both feminine and masculine (even if the church is afraid of his parts that are active in such as ‘el shaddai’)
I guess theres a start…
Absolute
Everything I have ever done in my entire life up to this moment has helped get to the this assumption
God picks
He makes
It happens
Then it is done.
Life as I know it on my end is as much of a charade as a reality show.
Prove me wrong. I really really want you to. Believing this hurts worse than a several kicks to the mid section.
God IS all knowing all the time. He is not limited by time (like we are). He is just.
God is never changing (He can still do everything that you read about in the Bible!) He knows and loved every one of us, even since we were in our mother’s wombs (even those who do not acknowledge Him, He loves you just as much as those who profess Him as Lord!)
The love of God is one absolute. When everything else is clouded and I hear this and that from teachers and philosophers of the faith I just shrug my shoulders and reckon God’s love is bigger than it all and His love isnt dependant on anything we do or do not do. I guess absolute to me is something that just is, regardless of my action or inaction.
In the last posting I referred to the absolute of: ’sowing and reaping’as a law. I apologize if I misunderstood.
I’m not trying to take things out of context and I sincerly am not of a religious spirit. I guess I just don’t understand why it would be wrong to see some of these absolutes as laws. (not of a legalistic, dead letter type but of a life enhancing nature)
God is love. Everything He does for us, every law he asks us to follow, is because He loves us.
I don’t let my children play in the highway. It isn’t because I am a mean, overbearing mother - it is because I love them with all my heart. I don’t want them to get hurt.
God’s laws are there because He loves us and He knows what is best for us.

Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ - “absolutely” nothing!
*Nothing can separate me from the love of God….not angels or demons, the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
*The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.
*The power of life and death is in the tongue.
*The Spirit Himself testifies that I am a child of God.
*The Kingdom of God is within and at hand.
*Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
*The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
*Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. All those who do evil hate the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But those who live by the truth come into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
God is the true LIGHT of the world.
We seek God b/c He sought us first.
Absolute of the day: “The difference between expectations and reality is misery.”
- Steve Arterburn
Absolute truth.
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Absolute method of approach (protocol)
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Absolute salvation
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Jn 3.16 was already mentioned (Love); this is a couple verses later
Absolute of disbelief
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Absolute Light
God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Absolute love
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Absolute hate
He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
Absolute of Love over Legalism
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
God Bless
David
More, some expanding on others:
* what you focus on, you become like
* you cannot receive if you do not give; by giving you enter into the circle of reciprocity; the larger your giving, the larger your capacity to receive
* whatever you tell yourself repeatedly, you will believe, whether it is true or not and whether or not you believe it at the outset; therefore:
* self-fufilling prophecies work in the positive as well as the negative
* if you don’t believe you can do something, you won’t try; if you do believe, you will at least try
This exercise has helped bridge a gap as to why books such as the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People & The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership as so helpful.

Sorry, forget words in last post,
This exercise has helped bridge a gap in my understanding why some books are so helpful.
Blessings,

One more, not my own:
* you can’t be disillusioned unless you have illusions
God loves us.
Nothing we can do, say or think will ever change His love for us.
No matter what we think or feel, He will never leave us “to the wolves”.
Our relationship with God has nothing to do with “how we feel” (that is, just because we “feel” we are alone in it, does not mean we are).
There is no “gray”.
Satan makes many fakes of God’s real things
* Jesus is identical with God He is His Word made flesh.
* The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone.
* Jesus is the true light, He gives light to everyone.
* The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
* Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
* No one comes to the Father except through Jesus.
* No one who comes to Jesus will be turned away.
* There is no fear in love.
* Those who do not love, do not know God whoever loves God must love his brother.

“One of Those” question:

My Response to the one called ” One of Those”:
I believe John Paul wants us to focus on the absolutes of God and how we can apply these spiritual principles to our daily walk as we endeavor to live out the call in becoming the moral champions that God has destined us to be in hopes of bringing the Kingdom of God to the earth in this day and age. I hope that this helps!

Absolute…
The flesh or soul is always at war with the Spirit.
For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit
the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Hi, John Paul! I just love you and your ministry. I wish you would come to the San Francisco Bay Area! How desperately we need your type of spiritual insight and maturity to help us shift the spiritual climate in our area.
Okay. So:
*When one hates oneself, they hate other people–even those that are loving toward them.
*When one holds a grudge against oneself and doesn’t release forgiveness of their own sins/faults/failures, they (possibly unintentionally yet most likely) hold grudges against others.
*When one tolerates sin, they make agreements with evil spirits, who in turn bring oppression and in worse cases, possession. It takes a firm decision & a greater blood–the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ–to annul such spiritual contracts.
Love ya!
Sharine
Thank you SOOOOO much for the word limit on blogs - I quit reading the responses because of the length of some of them and I just didn’t have time to read them.
Absolute - Satan HATES all people and wants to destroy them/us.
Absolute - God LOVES all people and wants to know and fellowship with all people and lavish His love on them/us.
I love the word absolute. gravity hcl+nacl=salt water the laws of the earth are boundles. The law of sowing and reaping most people don’t think it exist even though they use term like { what goes around comes around}. I want to thank you for having this kind of topic on your web site. hugs JohnPaul
Here is one that I think Christians would agree with:
“As above, so below”
In response to Wiccanchick:
(I know what I mean, hopefully I have worded it right)
Well I know that My Father in heaven’s will is to be done here as it is to be done in heaven but we do hinder His will being done here no small amount (since He does not “force” us to do anything).
I know that as God changes me from within, it is shown outwardly in my actions, as well as my thinking. But it “is” God doing the changing. I can honestly say that anytime I have ever tried to change my own mind, way of thinking, way of acting on my own with my own power it has been somewhat less than successful. Not to mention being forced and hard to “toe the line”. And since He is God, there is no way that I (who came from the dust) can make Him change me by the way I act or the things I say. It happens only when He wants it to (by grace, not acts). Granted I can continually pray for that change but to think that I am actually doing any of it…uh, no (trust me, am impatient, would rather now now now than the waiting until I am mature enough to honestly embrace the changes). Plus there is my old self - the sinful nature. That does not change at all. It was, is, and will always be sinful but by grace I no longer have to follow that part. I have the choice to follow the Spirit which my God has placed within me. And no matter how well I know myself, it does not mean I am any more like God or understand Him any more. If He were like me, we would all be in trouble. But thankfully, He is not, He is God and I only understand Him through what He chooses to reveal to me about Himself..not through any understanding of myself.
(sorry if over the word limit)
Those who are saved by Him, are seated with Him in a position of His supremacy…
Available to all who will accept…
God Bless!
Sorry my chemical formula should be Hcl+Naoh = salt water
Here’s something interesting: The Spirit SUPERCEDES the Law. An example in my own life would be that I have “biblical grounds” to divorce my husband but the Spirit said, “He that endures to the end………” Evidently, there is something I don’t know right now but my job is to be obedient. Think about it !!! My hope is that my husband will come to know the Lord personally and not just mental assent. So I wait and endure…….
This made me pause and ponder. Then bring to a deeper personalization.
*Death is not escapable
*My children are not my own
*Gods mercy is tangeable
*Seek and you will find
Thanks for the insight.
God is not a man that he should lie, or the son of man that he should repent
The thief comes to kill, steal and destroy
The fear of the Lord is clean
Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins
Love never fails.
To quote Graham Cooke I love what he says ‘Rest is War’ peace in the midst of the storm because one know from where he batttles from and where his position is.. in the heavenlies. (third heaven that is)
Bill Johnson put it another way “you only have peace in the storms you can sleep through” speaking of Jesus sleeping in the boat as the storm arose.
My favorite is God is light and in Him is no darkness.
if your in In His grip you will not slip!!!
Blessings
GOD WAS FIRST.
He is THE CREATOR.
Satan can only defile or twist what God created or deceive us because of our ignorance of WHO GOD is.
Satan is evil and not the opposite of God…
GOD IS ONE OF A KIND! HE IS LOVE!
Evil is the absence of GOD.
Man is ordained by GOD to rule over the earth.
Satan has no authority unless man, by sinning, gives him illegal authority. Sin opens the door to oppression and evil. True repentance of sin removes the legal ground for oppression or evil in people’s lives.
Know the TRUTH and the TRUTH will set you free.
Bad company corrupts good morals.
God is Love, Love can never fail, Therefore God can never fail. This is an absolute
